Matt Thompson continued his torrid offensive stretch by scoring 35 points on Monday night in Hancock’s 82-57 win over Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley. Thompson completed another double-double by securing 20 rebounds. Hudson VerSteeg had 13 points and Jackson Koehl scored 10 points for the Owls. Luke Joos had 6 assists and 5 steals and VerSteeg also had 5 steals.
Cole Gilsdorf lit it up for CGB, scoring 31 points, including four 3’s. Charles Kleindl was also in double figures with 14 points.
Hancock (18-3) won for a ninth straight time. They will host West Central Area on Friday night.
CGB has lost 9 in a row. They will play road games on Thursday at Bertha-Hewitt and on Friday at Wheaton.
