The Pelican Rapids boys’ basketball team fell behind 45-30 against East Grand Forks on Saturday and the Greenwave went on to post an 82-68 victory over the Vikings.

“East Grand Forks was much better than us tonight from the get go,” commented Pelican Rapids Head Coach John Gullingsrud. “They played tougher, smarter, and with more energy and intensity than we were able to which resulted in them dictating the tempo and controlling the game.”

Leaders for the Vikings were Brayden Ecker with 23 points, Ian Fahje with 15 and Hunter Williams with 11.

East Grand Forks was led by Tanner Campos with 30 points.  Austin Rusling and Clyde Anderson scored 15 and 13 points, respectively.

Pelican Rapids (14-5, 6-1 HOL) saw their four game winning streak come to an end.  They will play at Perham on Tuesday and at Hawley on Friday in a pair of Heart O’ Lakes Conference games.
