Rochester Women Beat M State for 7th Straight Win

Rochester recorded their seventh straight win and won for the 13th time in their last 14 games when they beat the M State lady Spartans 55-44 on Saturday afternoon in Fergus Falls.  After taking a 25-22 halftime lead, the Yellowjackets outscored the lady Spartans 3-22 over the final twenty minutes to improve their season record to 18-5.

Olivia Christianson (15 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds) and Kandace Sikkink (14 points, 13 rebounds) led the Yellowjackets to the win.

Lindsey Kurz had a double-double (12 points, 10 rebounds) to lead the Spartans.  Emily Dehler just missed a double-double with 15 points and 9 rebounds.  She also had a team high 3 assists.  Jayna Gronewold contributed 10 points and 4 rebounds and Lydia Baker pulled down 5 boards.

M State will play a makeup game at Western Tech in LaCrosse, Wisconsin on Monday.  They also play at St. Cloud on Wednesday and at Ridgewater in Willmar on Saturday.
