Otter Boys Drop 4-2 Decision to Thief River Falls

The Fergus Falls boys’ hockey team traveled to Thief River Falls where they fell to the Prowlers 4-2 in a game that replaced the postponed Crookston game on the schedule.  The Prowlers outshot the Otters 29-20 on the day.

 

Brendon Bottem scored an unassisted goal just 48 seconds into the game to give Thief River Falls the early 1-0 lead.  Isaac Johnson’s power play goal tied the game and gave him 100 career points.  Mike DeBrito assisted on the goal.

In the second period Max Arlt scored from Jace Erickson to give the home team a 2-1 advantage.

Isaac Johnson scored his 21st goal of the season and second of the game to pull the Otters even to start the third period.  Shane Zierden earned the assist.  Tysen Loeffler’s goal put Thief River back in front, 3-2.  Brady Skeim was awarded the assist.  Skeim also assisted on an empty net goal by Morgan Rude with just 20 seconds remaining in the game.

Fergus Falls (15-8) has two games remaining on their schedule.  A makeup game with Alexandria on Tuesday at 5:00pm and a game at St. Cloud on Thursday.
