It was senior night at Wadena-Deer Creek High School on Tuesday night and the lady Wolverines celebrated their seniors by posting a 56-33 victory over Long Prairie-Grey Eagle.

“It was great to recognize and honor our 7 seniors tonight,” said Wadena-Deer Creek Head Coach Jordan Cresap. “They have sacrificed a lot for the basketball program, WDC schools, and the Wadena community. They work hard, are well rounded student athletes and have been great role models for our younger players. They are great teammates and have positive attitudes regardless of individual situations. Proud of these seniors and blessed to coach them.”

Two of the seniors, Corra Endres and Lauryn Gravelle, were in double figures with 12 and 11 points, respectively.  Montana Carsten, Summer Pettit and Payton Gravelle all contributed 9 points.

Itzel Salazar led Long Prairie-Grey Eagle with a game high 16 points and Madison Spaeth finished with 9 points for the Thunder.

Wadena-Deer Creek (11-9) will play at Pillager on Thursday.
