Knights move to 14-3

The West Central Area Knights upped their record to 14-3 on the season with an 83-33 win over the Ortonville Trojans on Friday night in Ortonville.  The Knights had great balance in their scoring again and hit 36-72 shots for 50%.  They made 7-11 free throws.  The Trojans hit 12-38 shots 32% and they mad 4-5 free throws.  The Knights dominated the rebounding and turnover battles. The Knights had a commanding 44-19 advantage on the boards and forced 27 Trojan turnovers while committing only 9.

 

Leaders for the Knights were Cole Anderson (18 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists), Ryder Staples (13 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, 1 charge taken), Jacob Strunk 10 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals), Cam Anderson 8 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals), Nasir Dotts 8 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals),

Others contributing in the scoring column were Roman Mihailovschi with 6 points, Bryce Kjesbo 6 points, Mitch Dewey 6 points, Dane Anderson 4 points, Tyler Biss 2 points and 4 rebounds, and Brett Amundson 2 points. Damon Sanstead and Isaac Kreft each contributed 2 rebounds, and Brayden Stark had one steal.

Owen Longnecker led the Trojans with a nice game scoring 17 points. Carter Powell scored 5, Daunte Fetters 5, Dru Boots 4 and Isaac Brown 2.
