Henning Girls Hit Team Record 13 3's in Win Over Wolverines

Faith Fisher scored 20 points with 18 of them coming on six 3-point field goals in the first half, to lead the Henning Hornets to a 62-30 win over Wadena-Deer Creek in Park Region Conference girls’ basketball action on Friday night.  The Hornets went on to hit a team record thirteen 3’s in the game.

Ally Hart scored 12 to join Fisher in double digits.  Lily Fraki had 3 treys for 9 points, Natalie Eckhoff made a pair of shots from beyond the arc, finishing with 8 points and Lyvia Misegades added 7 points and a dozen rebounds.

Henning took extremely good care of the basketball as they had only five turnovers.  They also committed just eight fouls.  The Hornets defense held the Wolverines to just eight second half points.

Wadena-Deer Creek was led by 8 points from Montana Carsten.

Henning (12-7) will host Browerville-Eagle Valley on Tuesday night.

The Wolverines (9-9) host Sebeka on Monday and Long Prairie-Grey Eagle on Tuesday.
