Fergus Falls put 58 shots on goal to 25 for Willmar on Thursday night as the Otter boys’ hockey team shutout the Cardinals 6-0.  Brady Metcalf got the start in goal and stopped all 25 shots he faced.

Isaac Johnson scored a pair of first period goals to give the Otters an early 2-0 lead.  His first goal was unassisted and the second one was setup by Cole Zierden.

In the second period Cole Zierden scored from Isaac Johnson and Kellen Stenstrom scored from Michael DeBrito.

Shane Zierden scored from DeBrito and Griffen Babolian from Braden Nelson and Landon Thacker in the third period.

"Good effort tonight from all three lines and Brady gets a shutout in his first varsity start," noted Head Coach Mike Donaghue of the Otters. "He played calm and made some huge saves.  Isaac Johnson was very strong on the puck and set the tone with two early goals."

Fergus Falls (14-6) will host Bemidji in a two o’clock game on Saturday.
