Trailing 9-5 to start the game the Fergus Falls girls’ basketball team rattled off 12 straight points to take a 17-9 lead and never looked back. The Otters built their lead to 35-18 at the half and sent the game to running time midway through the second half as they went on to record a 74-40 win over the Rocori Spartans on Thursday night in Fergus Falls.
Tori Ratz buried five 3’s and scored a game high 19 points. She also had 3 steals. Ellie Colbeck scored 9 in each half to finish with 18 points. Colbeck also had 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Ainsley Hansen led the Otters with 12 rebounds and Hannah Polejewski dished out 4 assists. The Otters had a 26-21 edge on the boards and forced 17 Rocori turnovers.
Jada Bierschbach had a team high 9 points for the Spartans.
Fergus Falls (14-4) has won six in a row and will play Becker at 5:30pm Saturday in Alexandria.
