Brimhall and Andrews Have 3 Point Nights as Otter Girls Top Willmar 4-2

Fergus Falls scored power play goals in each of the first two periods to take a 2-0 lead over Willmar.  The Otters went on to post a 4-2 win over the Cardinals at the Community Arena in Fergus Falls on Thursday night.

Piper Andrews netted the first power play goal from Gabby Brimhall and Maddie Hulter in the first period.

Brimhall’s power play goal in the second period was setup by Andrews and made it a 2-0 game.

Hulter’s goal at 5:06 of the third period was assisted by Brimhall, giving the Otters a 3-0 lead.  Willmar got on the board at 9:56 when Avery Olson scored from Lauren Eilers.  Fergus Falls made it 4-1 on a second goal by Andrews, assisted by Rachel DeBrito.  Willmar scored the final goal with 1:14 left in the game.  Nina Dawson scored from Kessa Mara and Makenna Larson.

Ana Jyrkas made 16 stops in the Otter net and Fergus Falls put 28 shots on goal.

Fergus Falls (17-4-2) will go on the road to play Prairie Center on Friday night.
