The last time the Lady Cards played in Brainerd was last March when they punched their ticket to the section final game with a 3 OT win. Nothing too different this time around. The Lady Cards and Warriors played a great game back and forth with the Cards winning 2-1 in OT with a goal from Hanley Block assisted by Lauren Maras.
A great section game it was on both sides and both goaltenders playing well, especially our own Hailee Bailey with 32 big saves. The Warriors would get on the board first in the 2nd period before the Cards tied it up with a goal from Lauren Maras that was assisted by MaKenna Aure. The game would stay tied 1-1 until deep into the OT.
The Lady Cards hit the ice Thursday at the RCC to take on River Lakes.
