The Wheaton/Herman-Norcross boys’ basketball team took a 42-19 halftime lead on Friday night against Ortonville and went on to post a 72-39 Pheasant Conference victory.  The Warriors shot 42% from the field and won the rebounding battle 47-30.

“This was a good game for us,” said Warriors Head Coach Jordon Roos. “We played well in all factors of the game. We rebounded well, took care of the ball with a season low 7 turnovers, while also forcing 19 turnovers, and ran the floor. A lot of guys got in and contributed as well. Looking to carry these things over into the future.”

Clint Determan was the high point man with 28 points in 26 minutes on the court.  He also had 6 rebounds and 2 assists.  Dylan Bainbridge added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists.  Zach Braaten had a team high 3 steals, while adding 6 points.

The Warriors (9-4) will host Tri-State on Monday night in Wheaton.

Ortonville is at Milbank on Monday.
