Lady Warriors Hold Off WCA for 3-Point Win

West Central Area came up short against Wheaton/Herman-Norcross in a Pheasant Conference girls’ basketball game on Friday night as the Warriors posted a 58-55 victory on their home court.

The lady Knights were paced by Lexi Bright with 23 points, 7 assists, 9 deflections, 6 rebounds and 3 steals.  Claire Stark added 10 points, 7 rebounds and an assist, Kaitlyn Hansen had 6 points, 6 boards, 2 steals and an assist, and Mya Foslien added 8 points, 2 steals, 2 rebounds and an assist.  Addison Staples pulled down 6 rebounds, Macy Grosz had 5 points, 3 rebounds and an assist, and Elizabeth Rustan had 4 rebounds and 2 assists.

West Central Area (9-4) will host Montevideo on Monday night and will have a rematch with the Warriors on Friday night in Barrett.  The lady Knights close out a busy week with a Saturday home game against Hillcrest Lutheran Academy.

Wheaton/Herman-Norcross (11-2) won for a fourth straight time.  They will travel to Underwood on Monday, host Breckenridge on Thursday, pay the return visit to WCA on Friday and then host Ashby on Saturday to finish their four game week.
