The West Central Area Knights placed four players in double figures in an 84-44 home win over the Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley Wolverines on Friday night in Barrett.

In double figures for the Knights were Nasir Dotts with 17 points, Cole Anderson with 15, Ryder Staples 14, and Cam Anderson with 13, while Bryce Kjesbo added 7, Jacob Strunk 6, Mitch Dewey 5, and Tyler Biss 4.   Isaac Kreft with 2 points and Damon Sanstead with 1 point rounded out the scoring for the Knights.

"It was good to get some games in this week," said Knights Coach Kraig Hunter. "We are starting to find a nice rhythm in our offensive flow and are getting back to some sharp play on the defensive end.  We have many guys contributing.  It's hard to single out anyone, but a couple of guys that have stood out lately are Bryce Kjesbo, who is playing some great defense as he was one of the main reasons we held high scoring Cole Gilsdorf to 8 points and Roman Mihailovschi is giving us even more added depth off the bench with his energy and great all-around play lately."

The Knights had a great team effort in rebounding as Mihailovschi, Staples, Strunk and Kjesbo all grabbed 6 rebounds, Cam Anderson 4 and Cole Anderson 3.  The Knights had 22 assists on 33 field goals led by Cam Anderson with 7, Strunk with 4 and Dotts and Mihailovschi with 3 each.  In the steals category, Kjesbo led with 4 steals, Dotts and Cole Anderson had 3 each and Strunk and Dewey had 2 each.

The Knights hit 33-64 shots for 52% and 7-18 threes for 39%.  The Wolverines made 17-46 from the field for 37% and made 6-27 threes. From the free throw line the Knights were 11-22 and CGB was 4-8.  The Knights had a slight rebounding edge 36-31 but the big difference in the game was the turnovers. The Knights took good care of the ball only turning it over 7 times while forcing 25 Wolverine turnovers.

Scoring for CGB were Charles Kleindl with 12, Cole Gilsdorf 8, Ryan Geray 6, Jens Jorgenson 6,  Isaac Hannen 5, Levi Wolff 4, and Gunnar Hoffman 3.

The Knights are now 13-3 on the season and will be off until they play three consecutive games on Friday, Feb 4th vs Ortonville, Monday, February 7th vs Hancock, and Tuesday, February 8th vs Parkers Prairie.
