“Second nights of back to backs are never easy, especially when the team on the back half likes to play extremely up-tempo,” said Hawley Head Coach Nathan Stoa. “During the first half we did a good job of controlling the ball, finishing at the rim and overall playing solid basketball. Brady Gratton hit three quick threes to get us going. The second half we got sped up by their defense and out of sorts, but responded well enough to control the score until the buzzer.”
Sam Senske had a team high 16 points and Hayden Grani added 14. Gratton finished with 13, while Brevin Stoa contributed 11.
Tanner Campos led East Grand Forks with 20 and Thomas Loer had 10.
Hawley (10-3) will host Barnesville on Monday night.
