Mason Hammer put together a solid all-around game to lead the Henning boys’ basketball team to a 63-37 win over Lake Park-Audubon on Thursday night. Hammer had 19 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 assists. He was joined in double figures by Tanner Arndt with 15 points. Arndt also had a team high 7 assists, added 4 rebounds and came up with 3 steals.
“Really solid defensive effort overall from our guys,” stated Henning Head Coach Randy Misegades. “Trent Bjerke gave us some problems in the paint early in the game. He’s a nice player for LPA. We made a nice run before the half to extend our lead and then did a good job taking control from there.”
Calvin Stueve contributed 9 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and a team high 4 steals for the Hornets and Tyson Misegades chipped in with 7 points.
Henning (14-1) has won five straight heading into their Saturday night contest at Sebeka.
