Perham Boys Hold Off Trojans for 60-55 Win

The Barnesville Trojans battled back from a 34-26 halftime deficit in Perham, however, the Yellowjackets were able to prevail in their Heart O’ Lakes Conference matchup, 60-55.  Perham made 50% (23-46) of their shots from the field and hit a third (8-24) of their 3-point shots.  Barnesville finished at 53.7% (36-55) from the field and made 6-of-14 (43%) treys.

Soren Anderson led Perham with 28 points on 11-of-16 shooting.  He also had 5 rebounds and a pair of steals.  Micah Thompson added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists.  Marcus Belka had a team high 4 assists.

Kaden Zenzen (18 points, 7 rebounds), Tate Inniger (15 points, 4 rebounds) and Zach Bredman (10 points) were all in double figures for the Trojans.

With the win, Perham (8-4, 3-2 HOL) avenged an earlier five-point loss to the Trojans in Barnesville.  The Yellowjackets will face Rockford on Saturday at the St. Michael-Albertville High School.

Barnesville (9-5, 3-3 HOL) is at Hawley for another conference contest on Monday night.
