“Props to Breckenridge as they came out ready to play and caused us some problems,” noted Wheaton/Herman-Norcross Head Coach Jordon Roos. “They got a lot of live ball steals and finished around the rim well. We were able to go on a run in the last 8 minutes and rally from a 9 point deficit to win the game. Although we didn’t play our best game it was nice to see us rally and still find a way to win on a tough night.”
The Warriors shot 44% and Breckenridge hit 41% of their shots from the floor. Breckenridge held a slight 33-32 edge on the boards and turnovers were 16 for Wheaton/Herman-Norcross and 17 for Breckenridge.
Leaders for the Warriors were Clint Determan (23 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals) and Dylan Bainbridge (14 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists). Zach Braaten came up with a team high 7 rebounds and Brayden Hofer led the team with 4 steals.
Wheaton/Herman-Norcross (8-4) will host Ortonville on Friday night.
Breckenridge (1-12) is home against DGF on Thursday.
