The Hancock lady Owls are now 13-0 after a solid 70-36 win over New York Mills on Saturday afternoon. The Owls led 50-17 at the half and shot the ball at a 47.5% clip in the game, making 28-of-59 field goal attempts and hitting 8-of-20 3’s. Hancock dominated the boards, 31-13.
Kaitlyn Rohloff led the lady Owls with 17 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Tori Pahl added 12 points and 8 rebounds, Karleigh Rohloff scored 11, dished out 4 assists and had 2 steals, and Carlee Hanson contributed 10 points, 5 assists and 5 deflections. Kaitlyn Staples chipped in 8 points, while Rylee Hanson and Brooke VerSteeg added 6 each.
The Owls (13-0) will host West Central Area on Tuesday night.
New York Mills (10-5) had their 3 game winning streak snapped with the loss. They will host Wadena-Deer Creek on Thursday night.
