Cambridge-Isanti was a physical team that went 6’2, 6’2, 6’0 across the front line, along with a DI commit. The Cardinals battled to the final stretch before being forced to foul in the waning seconds. Scoring was paced by Hadley Thul with 23 and Allie Haabala with 14.
The Cards pulled away from Big Lake in their second game of the Classic to earn a non-conference victory. Hadley Thul once again led Alexandria with 19 points. Lillian Thul and Chloe Scholl added 8 points each as the Cards evened their record at 4-4.
Alexandria has three games on the road as they travel to Bemidji, Fergus Falls and Hutchinson.
