The Barnesville boys’ basketball team put up 11 overtime points and held Central Minnesota Christian scoreless in the overtime session on Thursday as the Trojans posted a 57-46 win. Barnesville trailed 21-19 at the half and outscored CMCS 27-25 over the final 18 minutes to force OT.
Barnesville shot just 31% (20-64) from the field but made 13-of-16 (81%) free throw attempts on the day. They also held a commanding 55-38 rebounding advantage, grabbing 23 off the offensive glass. Central Minnesota Christian made only 28% (19-66) of their field goal attempts.
Kaden Zenzen had a monster game with 22 points and 22 rebounds, including 13 offensive boards. Noah Krause added 11 points and 6 boards, and Zach Bredman finished with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Jack Nielsen led the team with 3 assists and 3 steals.
