Martin County West handed the Hancock boys’ basketball team their second loss of the season on Tuesday night as they defeated the Owls by the score of 54-38 in the opening round of the RTR Holiday Tournament. The loss snapped a 3 game winning streak for the Owls.
Tanner Sinn poured in a game high 22 points to lead Martin County West in the victory. Zach Anderson was also in double digits with 13. MCW shot 48% (12/25) from the field.
Hancock was 9-for-19 (47%) from the field. Matt Thompson registered a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Hudson VerSteeg added 8 points and Zachary Koehl contributed 6 assists.
