Matt Thompson poured in 34 points, pulled down 15 rebound and dished out 6 assists to lead the Hancock boys’ basketball team to a 72-56 win over MACCRAY on Friday night in Benson. Hudson VerSteeg joined Thompson in double digits with 20 points, while grabbing 6 rebounds. Luke Joos had a team high 8 assists and picked off 3 steals.
Hancock (2-1) made 27-of-53 (51%) field goal attempts and won the rebounding battle 33-10.
MACCRAY shot 50% (21-42) from the floor. They were led by Isaac Post (16 points) and Brooks Asche (11 points).
