Tori Ratz (27) and Ellie Colbeck (24) combined for 51 points on Thursday night in Sauk Rapids as the Otters shot 67% from the field and 68% from behind the 3-point arc, recording a 90-45 win over Sauk Rapids-Rice. The Otters had 15 3’s on the night, 12 of them in the first half.
Brynn Sternberg was also in double digits with a dozen. The Otters had 30 assisted baskets in the contest, led by 10 dimes from Ratz and 10 from Colbeck. Karley Braeger distributed 6 assists. Rebound leaders were Colbeck with 9 and Ainsley Hansen with 7.
“This was a great effort, offensively,” said Head Coach Josh Steer of the Otters. “We were getting open looks and knocking down our shots. I thought the defense played much better. They really stepped up their game tonight.”
Fergus Falls (4-1) will host Detroit Lakes on Saturday afternoon.
