“Good competitive game tonight against a solid Pine River team,” said WDC Head Coach Jordan Cresap. “Our effort was there, just couldn’t capitalize on opportunities we were given.”
Ramsey Tulenchik led Pine River-Backus with 16 points, making 9-of-13 free throws.
Wadena-Deer Creek was led by Montana Carsten with 11 points, all in the second half. Kaylin Lupkes chipped in with 9 points and Addison Gravelle added 7.
The Wolverines (2-2) will travel to Bertha to face the Bertha-Hewitt Bears on Thursday and then will host Park Rapids Area on Friday night.
