Wheaton/Herman-Norcross jumped to a big lead early in the game and finished strong in their 67-56 win in Hankinson on Saturday.  The Warriors shot 44% from the field and made 40% (6/15) of their 3-point attempts in the game.  Wheaton/Herman-Norcross led 15-3 after one quarter and 34-13 at the half.

“This game was a tale of two halves,” said Wheaton/Herman-Norcross Head Coach Jordon Roos. “We controlled the game in the first half and had stellar defense. Second half Hankinson got us on our heels and out rebounded us heavily to get back in the game. They hit a lot of shots late and made the game interesting till the end. We made 10 straight free throws in the final few minutes to seal the game. Our balanced scoring attack was great to see.”

Clint Determan scored 17 points to lead four players in double figures.  He was joined by Dylan Bainbridge (15), Zach Braaten (10) and Holden Rinke (10).  Braaten had a team high 7 rebounds and Brayden Hofer had 6.  Bainbridge, Braaten and Hofer each had 3 assists.

Wheaton/Herman-Norcross (3-0) will play at Battle Lake on Friday night.
