Hancock Falls to CMCS in Season Opener

The Central Minnesota Christian boys’ basketball team outscored Hancock 33-19 in the second half of their game on Saturday in Prinsburg and the Bluejays wound up with a 62-47 win over the Owls.  Hancock made 17-of-46 shots from the field for 37% shooting.  The Bluejays hit 46% (26-56) of their field goal attempts.

CMCS was led by Ben Van Eps with 20 points and Case Mulder with 15.  Caleb Vander Beek was also in double digits with 10 points for the Bluejays.

Leaders for Hancock were Matt Thompson (24 points, 6 rebounds), Hudson VerSteeg (8 points), Sebastian Felix (8 points) Zachary Koehl (7 rebounds), Chase Evink (9 rebounds) and Luke Joos (3 assists).

Hancock (0-1) will host Parkers Prairie in their home opener on Tuesday night and will be at home again Thursday against Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley.
