Owls Remain Unbeaten Behind Big Night from Carlee Hanson

The Hancock girls’ basketball team built a 39-26 halftime lead over Central Minnesota Christian on Saturday and the two teams each scored 32 second half points as the Owls remained unbeaten with a 71-58 victory over the Bluejays.

The Owls made two-thirds of their shots (32/48) from the field and dominated the boards, 28-13.  CMCS made 44% (21/48) of their field goal attempts and connected on 9-of-19 (47.4%) of their 3-pointers.

Carlee Hanson poured in a game high 30 points, while grabbing 7 rebounds, dishing out 7 assists and coming up with 9 steals.  Misti Zempel added 17 points, 7 rebounds and a pair of steals.  Kaitlyn Rohloff (8 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists), Tori Pahl (7 points, 5 rebounds) and Karleigh Rohloff (6 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists) all contributed to the win.

Hancock (5-0) will play at Ortonville on Friday night.
