Otter Gymnasts Nudged Out by Sauk Rapids-Rice

The Fergus Falls Otter gymnasts battled Sauk Rapids-Rice in a tight Central Lakes Conference dual on Thursday with the Storm posting a 129.15 to 129.10 victory over the Otters.

Audrey Seedorf won the vault (8.825), was second on the beam (8.100), third on uneven bars (8.100), fifth on floor exercise (8.200) and second in All-Around scoring (33.225).

Madison Muchow won the uneven bars (8.250) and Kellen Frigaard was second on floor exercise (8.750), second on vault (8.775), sixth on balance beam (7.150), ninth on uneven bars (6.900) and fourth in All-Around scoring (31.575).

Mashayla Mau had the fifth best All-Around total (30.900), placing fourth on uneven bars (7.600), fifth on vault (8.500), fifth on floor exercise (8.200) and ninth on balance beam (6.600).

Mayah Fear placed sixth on vault (8.350), eighth on uneven bars (7.100) and eighth on floor exercise (7.850).

Riplee Saurer came in sixth on vault (8.350), Abigail Strege was fourth (7.750) and Kassiday Papon fifth (7.400) on balance beam, and Sarah Nordlund finished sixth on floor exercise (8.050).

The Sauk Rapids-Rice JV team won 122.60 to 121.20 in another close battle with the Otter JV team.  Top finishers for the Otter JV were Rachel Nordlund in first place on balance beam (8.200 and Abigail Strege with a championship on the uneven bars (7.300).  Madison Muchow was second on balance beam (8.100), Natalee Shearer was runner-up on floor exercise (8.100) and Rylee Kubela and Clarissa Heikes tied for third on floor (7.900).
