The Hawley boys’ basketball team won their third straight game on Thursday night as they posted an 81-74 victory over Detroit Lakes.

“Tonight was a very physical battle,” commented Hawley Head Coach Nathan Stoa.  “Our kids could have quit multiple times, but showed incredible resiliency.  We made enough plays to come out on top at the end of the night.  Credit to DL as they both humbled and exposed us in multiple facets of the game, which is what we need in December basketball.”

Sam Senske led Hawley with 22 points.  Hayden Grani and Mason Gratton contributed 18 and 17 points, respectively, and Brady Gratton chipped in with 11.

Nathan Cihak had a team high 21 points for Detroit Lakes and Mason Carrier scored 18.  Christopher Breeden added 15 for the Lakers.
