“It was a lot of fun to see the home crowd and have the pep band playing as it was a great atmosphere in the Al Siegle Activities Center tonight,” said Head Coach John Gullingsrud. “Similar to our first game last night, we played some stretches of good basketball but also had some times where we struggled. We jumped out to an 11-3 lead early and were able to stay in front the rest of the game. Park Rapids did cut the lead to five at 48-43 with seven minutes to go, but our guys responded to close the game on a 15-4 run which was nice to see this early in the season.”

Leaders for the Vikings were Timmy Guler with 25, Ian Fahje with 13 and Hunter Williams with a dozen. 

Park Rapids Area was led by Nick Michaelson with 17 and Logan Jackson with 9.
