Perham Gymnasts Open Season with Fifth Place Finish at Jackie Mann Invite

The defending Class A Champions, Watertown-Mayer, started the season where they left off with a dominating performance at the Jackie Mann Invitational on Dec. 4 at the Hive in Perham.

The defending Class A Champions, Watertown-Mayer, started the season where they left off with a dominating performance at the Jackie Mann Invitational on Dec. 4 at the Hive in Perham.

Watertown-Mayer finished with a team score of 145.8, led by the All-Around champion, Reagan Kelley. Kelley finished with a 37.650 to capture top honors.

The Yellowjackets finished in fifth place overall. Perham recorded a score of 135.45. Cambridge-Isanti was second, followed by Melrose Area and Detroit Lakes.
The Yellowjackets recorded scores of 36.6 on the vault, 29.95 on bars, 34.8 on beam and 34.1 on the floor.

Avery McAllister finished seventh overall in the All-Around competition. McAllister recorded a score of 35.10. She was second on the vault for Perham with a 9.65 and earned a third place finish on beam with a 9.35.

Perham's Aryanna Meyers was 10th in the All-Around, posting a score of 34.30.
