The Ortonville girls’ basketball team lost two players to graduation and return six players with varsity experience for the 2021-22 season. Head Coach Trevor Keller begins his third year at the helm and will be assisted by Derek Guse. Seniors Taylor Ross (G) and McKenzie Huebner (G), and junior Kelly Erickson (F) will serve as team captains for the Trojans.
Other returners include juniors Kendall Gronholz (F) and Emma Anderson (F), and sophomore Kaydn Gronholz (G). Sophomore Megan Strong (G) will also be vying for varsity court time.
“I look forward to watching the development of our squad,” commented Coach Keller. “These girls have been playing together for a year or two. Our strength will be our team unity.”
Keller says West Central Area and Wheaton/Herman-Norcross are the top teams in the Pheasant Conference.
