The Alexandria Cardinals won the Central Lakes Conference Girls’ Swimming and Diving title with 449 points on Saturday. Sartell-St. Stephen placed second with 446 points and Rocori was third with 375. They were followed by Brainerd (342), St. Cloud Tech (244), Sauk Rapids-Rice (188), Willmar (184), Fergus Falls (79) and Apollo (18).
“This was a powerful meet with many great swims,” reported Fergus Falls Head Coach Joyce Monk. “This conference is power packed. The Otters did have some top seasonal performances from Mikayla Aaberg (200/500 free), Alexis Wellman (200/500 free), Alexis Thoma (200 IM/100 fly), Ava Api (50 free), Mayah Fear (100 free), Jerzie Smith (500 free), Shelby Tabbut (500 free), Hannah Fear (100 back) and Estee VerSteeg (100 breast). We will compete in our Section meet in Detroit Lakes on November 12 and 13.”
