The Detroit Lakes Lakers were able to keep the Pelican Rapids Vikings boys' soccer team scoreless for the first 39 minutes of their game on Tuesday afternoon, however, a goal by Noe Moreno in the final minute of the first half, assisted by Sebastian Centeno, got the Vikings going. The home team added 3 second half goals for a 4-0 victory over the Lakers.
Centeno scored five minutes into the second half with an assist from Mohamed Ahmed. A little over two minutes later Ahmed converted a pass from Yahir Diaz for a 3-0 lead. The final goal of the game came with 24:30 left as Centeno notched his second of the day, assisted by Ahmed.
Pelican Rapids (8-4-1) will travel to East Grand Forks for a 7:00pm start on Thursday.
