The Underwood Rockets came out blazing on homecoming night by beating Frazee 20-6 in front of a full Underwood fan base on Friday night.

Tristan Evavold scored the first points of the game with an interception return for a touchdown and a two-point conversion run on the first play of the first quarter.  Frazee responded with an 80 yard kick-off return for a touchdown by Jake Nagel, cutting the Underwood lead to 8-6 just 31 seconds into the game.

A 2-yard run by Blayre Lundgren with 3:42 left in the first half gave the Rockets a 14-6 advantage at halftime.

Brien Poser broke loose for a 34-yard TD run with 4 minutes left in the game to put the final at 20-6.

Underwood forced 5 turnovers and rushed for nearly 200 yards while keeping Frazee to 63 total yards.

Evavold had a team high 75 yards on 19 carries, Poser ran for 63 yards on 13 attempts, Evan Lundgren had 35 yards on 8 carries and Blayre Lundgren ran the ball 4 times for 29 yards.  Defensive leaders were Evavold (6 solo tackles, 1 assisted tackle, INT), Logan Schleske (4 solo tackles, 3 assisted tackles) and Kale Rich (3 solo tackles, 4 assisted tackles).  Julian Umlauf recorded a quarterback sack and Owen Harig had an interception.

Coach Ryan Hendrickson mentioned his home crowd, "The theme this week was to play Underwood style Football for the community that lives for football.  We have an awesome fan base, and they really showed up tonight."

The Captains, Evavold, Rich, and Schleske, backed those comments "We knew we had to show our small town how big we can play. This felt good, we will keep playing Underwood Football."

The Rockets will now turn their focus to Parkers Prairie for next Friday's game.
