“We knew this one was a tall task for us, but we got one match and had a couple of other really close ones,” commented Head Coach Jamie Lill of the Otters. “Mia Marsh and Ashtyn Lill earned our team win at second doubles in a three-set win.  Isabella Abrahams fell just short in a very competitive three-setter at second singles, dropping the third set tie-break 11-9. Cyntreya Lockett and Hannah Anderson also found the same fate, dropping their highly contested third doubles match in three sets.”  

Lill continued, “Our second match-up of the day was against Moorhead, who narrowly took the 4-3 victory.  We were really excited for this match-up and it did not disappoint.  Our wins came at second and fourth singles, with Bella and Ashtyn winning fairly routinely, and Cyntreya Lockett and Ruby Ellison winning a tight three-setter for us at third doubles. Mackenzie Krava and Leila Nasri also played a great match today, but fell short in the third set to a very solid first doubles team.”  

Next up for the Otters will be the 8AA north sub-section tournament next Tuesday, October 5-Thursday, October 7 in Fargo.  Seeding and match information will be decided this weekend.
