The Lumberjacks played a stifling defensive game as they kept the Vikings from mounting any good scoring opportunities the entire game.

Bemidji took a 1-0 lead midway through the first half when Reece Melville converted a cross pass from Noah Johnson into a beautiful goal.

With 11:10 left in the game the Lumberjacks received a direct kick about 25 yards from the goal and Noah Johnson floated the ball over the outstretched arms of Arturo Zavala for the second goal of the game for the visitors.

Pelican Rapids (6-4) will play another conference match at Hillcrest Lutheran Academy in Fergus Falls at 3:00pm Saturday.
