Mountain Iron-Buhl gained 380 yards on Friday night in a 28-16 win over Brandon-Evansville in a game played at Laporte.  The Chargers compiled 264 yards on the night.

"Great game under strange circumstances,” said B-E Head Coach Tim Pattrin.  “Thank you to Laporte for letting us use their facilities and thanks to MIB for playing us.  It was a tough physical game and we just came up a bit short.  Our line blocked well and our backs ran physical.  Defensively we contained their offense for the most part, just gave up a few big plays.  We need to have fewer mental mistakes going forward.  If we do that we will be a tough team to beat."

Brandon-Evansville scored first on a 9 yard run by Tyler Bitzan and a two-point conversion run by Titus Fuller with 6:30 left in the opening quarter.  With 2:45 left in the quarter Damian Tapio scored on a 2 yard run to cut the lead to 8-6.  Asher Zubich scored on a 6 yard run with 25 seconds remaining in the half to give Mountain Iron-Buhl a 12-8 lead going into the half.

Tapio added a one yard TD run with 1:45 left in the third, increasing the lead to 20-8 after a two point conversion run by Zubich.  With 8:30 left in the game Zubich scored on a one yard run and added another two point conversion run which put the score at 28-8.  The final TD of the game was scored by Brandon-Evansville as Fuller threw a 51 yard pass to Rylan Yeats.  Bitzan’s two point conversion run made the final, 28-16.

Fuller completed 5-of-10 passes for 72 yards and Bitzan led the ground attack with 126 yards on 25 carries.  Defensive leaders were Bitzan with 10 tackles, 4 solo, 12 assisted) and John Roers (8 tackles, 3 solo, 10 assists)
