Wheaton/Herman-Norcross finished third at the Hawley Booster Volleyball Invitational this past Saturday The Warriors lost to Hawley 25-18, 25-19, beat Lake of the Woods 25-22, 22-25, 15-6, beat Detroit Lakes 25-19, 25-22 and beat Perham 25-23, 25-27, 16-14.
Cumulative stats for the tournament showed Brylie Schultz (31/31, 5 aces), Kyah Thomas (26/26, 3 aces), Avah Sykora (42/44, 4 aces), Lesley Rinke (31/33, 1 ace), Ellissa Rinke (28/31, 4 aces) and Emily Berger (22/23) leading the way on the service line as the Warriors served 95.5% (170/178) on the day.
Schultz (25 kills, 3 solo blocks, 6 block assists), Ellissa Rinke (17 kills, 3 solo blocks, 4 block assists), Zaundra Determan (13 kills, 1 solo block, 2 block assists) and Thomas (11 kills, 1 solo block, 4 block assists) led the attack at the net, with Emily Berger distributing 32 set assists and Lesley Rinke dishing out 20 set assists.
Dig leaders were Ellissa Rinke and Sykora with 32 and 26, respectively. Lesley Rinke added 22, Thomas had 18, Berger 14 and Schultz 13.
