The Perham Yellowjackets were shutout 48-0 Friday night, marking the first time they have been shutout since September 17, 2010.  The team that blanked them then was also the opponent that blanked them Friday night, Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton.  Perham had not lost by 48 or more points since 1975 at Park Rapids, when they also lost 48-0.  Karter Kosowski tied the record for most blocked kicks in a game with two.   Logan Richter did it against Hawley in 2016 and Jesse Hein did it against DGF in 2010.

McKale Pierson hauled in a 42 yard TD pass from Owen Leach to cap a 5 play, 81 yard scoring drive with 9:41 left in the first quarter and then added the extra-point kick to allow the Rebels to take a 7-0 lead.  With 5:22 left in the quarter, Pierson scored on an 11 yard run, but his PAT kick was blocked by Kosowski, leaving the Rebels with a 13-0 lead after the first quarter.

In the second quarter Nick Waale scored on a 9 yard run and added the two-point conversion to make it a 21-0 lead with 7:56 left in the first half.  Pierson then got in the end zone on a 5 yard run and added an extra-point kick for a 28-0 lead.  A 4 yard TD run by Logan Johnson and a second blocked extra-point try, led to a 34-0 halftime advantage for DGF.

The Rebels made it 40-0 with 3:09 remaining in the third quarter when Donovan Verdi scored on a 6 yard run on the final play of a 14 play, 84 yard drive to the end zone.  A fourth quarter touchdown run of 6 yards by Casy Macziewski and a two point conversion run by Landon Morkassel ended the scoring with 11:06 left in the game.

The Rebels held Perham to 139 yards of offense, 56 on the ground and 83 through the air.  The Yellowjackets managed only four first downs.  Perham had six fumbles, but lost only one.  DGF also had a pair of interceptions.  Colton Hackel was 3-for-13 throwing the football for 48 yards.  Chas Melvin caught 3 passes for 48 yards and Hudson Hackel was the leading rusher with 22 yards on 5 attempts.  Braylon Rach had a forced fumble and Aiden Kennedy a fumble recovery to lead the Perham defense.

The Rebels finished with 298 rushing yards and 109 passing yards for 407 total yards.  Pierson ran for 155 yards on 22 carries, and caught 1 pass for 42 yards.  Leach completed 5-of-7 passes for 109 yards.  Logan Johnson and Kaden Altobelli had interceptions for the Rebels and Lucas Houska added a fumble recovery.
