Otters Overcome 6-0 Halftime Deficit to Win in Pequot Lakes

The Fergus Falls football team won for a third straight week, overcoming a 6-0 halftime deficit to defeat the Pequot Lakes Patriots by the score of 13-6 on Friday night.

The Patriots took a 6-0 lead on an 86 yard fumble return for a touchdown by Darby Boelter in the first quarter.  Tristan George blocked the extra point.

Landon Thacker tied the game with a 13 yard TD run in the third quarter and Jaydon Manteufel gave the Otters a 7-6 lead with his successful extra-point kick.  Griffin Babolian added a 41 yard TD run to make it 13-6.

Fergus Falls had three takeaways in the game, a fumble recovery in the first half and interceptions by Thacker and Carter Thielke in the second half. 

Fergus Falls will host Thief River Falls at 7:00pm next Friday night at the Otter Stadium Field.
