The Fergus Falls girls’ Cross Country Team traveled to Little Falls for the Lucky Lindy invite on Thursday.  The hot weather brought in unpredictable weather.  The first 4 races of the evening went off as planned but with storms moving in during the girls’ varsity race, the Middle school races were cancelled.

“I felt the girls held their composure and raced well in uncertain conditions,” commented Head Coach Niki Welde of the Otters.

Naomi Dummer again led the Otters with a 47 second drop on her personal best time.  She continues to show her strength in each race she runs.

Ainsley Hansen finished next for the Otters.  She ran an outstanding second half of her race to drop 1 and a half minutes off her season best, nearing her all-time best.

Sarah Grotberg, Rebecca Schindler, Julia Anderson, Hannah Scharnberg and Miah Schmidt rounded out the varsity team scoring, with Rebecca and Hannah each running season best times.  Aly McClain ran a season best time, shaving over 2 minutes off her time.  Ahlea Mouser posted a great season time in the JV race.
