The lone win for the Otters came from Mia Marsh and Ashtyn Lill at second doubles.  “This pair did a very nice job of maintaining their game plan in extremely windy conditions,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Jamie Lill.  “Mia has really stepped-up her net play and willingness to go for winners this year and it's earning her great results in her matches.  Ashtyn also did a nice job of finishing off points when she had chances, but her biggest asset tonight was her ability to topspin lob effectively in the windy conditions.  This was a nice straight set win for this duo.”  The Otters unfinished match was a nail biter at third doubles. Cyntreya Lockett and Hannah Anderson found themselves down a quick set at love before really turning things around.  They did a much better job of finishing points and positioning themselves on the court in the second set, which they won in a tie-break.  They were serving at 4-5 in the third set when the tornado sirens went off in Cold Spring, forcing us indoors.  Rain came and severe weather followed, so the match was not able to be completed. 

The first doubles team, Mackenzie Krava and Leila Nasri, dropped a close three-setter and Isabella Abrahams battled back and forth for a couple of really close sets in her second singles match before falling in straight sets. 

The Otters hit the road again Friday for another CLC and Section 8AA rain-out make-up match-up against the Alexandria Cardinals at 3:30 pm.

Singles:

2. Amber Field (R) defeated Isabella Abrahams (FF) 6-3. 6-3.

3. Abby Jopp (R) defeated Amber Anderson (FF) 6-2, 6-2.

4. Abby Gumrudt (R) defeated Clara Stephan (FF) 6-1, 6-0.

Doubles:
1. Ava Peters/Kirsten Wieling (R) defeated Mackenzie Krava/Leila Nasri (FF) 6-3, 3-6, 6-1. 

2. Mia Marsh/Ashtyn Lill (FF) defeated Isabella Arceneau/Ayla Vettelson (R) 6-2, 6-4.

3. Cyntreya Lockett/Hannah Anderson (FF) / Autumn Kron/Grace Piehl (R) Did not finish due to weather.  0-6, 7-6(7), 4-5.
