For the boys, Kade Runge and Roman Mihalovski finished 2nd and 3rd. “Roman looked fresh and strong; one of two athletes after Friday's extremely hard workout to increase their time from last Wednesday in Minnewaska,” commented Head Coach Austin Hanson of the Knights. “Most of the kids had really sore legs, but they managed to impress us with their resiliency one again. The schedule was changed due to the expectant rain, so runners were a bit thrown off; they LOVE routine and often when they don't get it we have issues.”
Some young athletes ran in their first 5K of the year. Aaron Biss (8th grade) for the boys ran a time of 22:21, very fast but not fast enough to beat his brother, Tyler Biss (senior), who ran a 20:20. 7th grader Kyra Beyer also ran her first 5K and was very impressive, posting a time of 23:12 and placing third on the team behind Bright and Terina Blasyck (22:11).
