Ottertail Central picked up its 2nd win of the season in Pillager on Friday night.

The Bulldogs started their scoring on their opening drive with a one yard QB sneak by Tanner Arndt.  The 2 point conversion failed, giving OTC a 6-0 lead.   At the beginning of the second quarter Pillager answered with a TD run and tied the game 6-6.  OTC scored on their last drive of the half when Owen Buehler caught a 12 yard pass in the end zone with less than 5 seconds left to give OTC a halftime lead of 12-6.

In the second half both teams dug their heels in and played strong defense.  OTC scored the only points of the half when Bricker Bladow ran the ball in from 3 yards out.  Bladow also scored the 2 point conversion to make the score 20-6.

OTC held off a late scoring attempt from Pillager to gain a hard fought 20-6 victory.  OTC’s offense was very balanced with Mason Hammer and Bricker Bladow leading the team with rushing yards and Owen Buehler and Drew Johnson leading the team with receptions from Tanner Arndt.

The win brings OTC to a 2-0 record and will host Underwood in Battle Lake this Friday night.
