“Felt we played a solid game, much more of a fire than last week,” commented Barnesville Head Coach Bryan Strand.  “Many of the things we didn’t do well last week we improved on this week. Overall good team win.”

The Trojans scored three times in the opening quarter, beginning with a 33 yard run by Andrew PedersonCameron Heng then scored on an 11 yard run and Noah Krause hit Tate Inniger with a 15 yard touchdown pass giving Barnesville an 18-0 lead after one quarter.  In the second quarter John Roller scored on a 6 yard run, Heng on a 79 yard run and Pederson on a 23 yard run.  Isaac Mantefal made all three extra point attempts and the Trojans had a 39-0 halftime lead.

Pederson got in the end zone for a third time on a 28 yard run in the third quarter for a 45-0 lead.

In the fourth quarter, Owen Riddle scored on a 26 yard run, followed by a Mantefal PAT kick, and Brennan Steele recovered a fumble for the final touchdown of the night.

“I felt Noah Krause played outstanding on both sides of the ball, really led this team tonight,” added Coach Strand.  “Pederson, Heng and Bredman all ran the ball well and very hard.   Jonny Robideau is all over the field offensively and defensively, he just plays so hard, a lot of fun to watch.”

Heng led Barnesville with 128 rushing yards on 6 attempts and Pederson had 87 yards on 4 carries.  Krause was 5-for-7 throwing the ball for 106 yards.  Kaden Zenzen (2 catches, 47 yards) and Tate Inniger (2 catches, 38 yards) were the leading receivers.  Defensively, Braeden Bredman had a pair of interceptions.  Connor Loeks, Robideau and Zenzen each recovered a fumble.  Zenzen (1 solo tackle, 9 assists), Robideau (3 solo tackles, 7 assists) and Roller (1 solo tackle, 6 assists) led the team in tackles.

“We have Pelican next and they are playing very good football right now,” noted Strand.  “Will be a great test for us, they are very well coached and have some fantastic athletes.  Will come down to execution and limiting mistakes.”
