Otter Boys Win Cross Country Meet in DL

The Fergus Falls Boys’ Cross Country team ran on a challenging course at the Detroit Country Club in Detroit Lakes on Thursday, placing First out of nine teams in the varsity race and First out of 4 teams in the JV.

“Our entire boys’ team top to bottom had an outstanding race day with multiple personal bests, also adding individual and team accolades,” stated Fergus Falls Head Coach Derek Meyer. “This team is evolving as the weeks move on into something special. I am once again proud of how everyone is training and competing and excited to head to Little Falls next Thursday to compete against more Section 8AA teams we have not seen before.”

Jaden Miller led the boys with a 6th place finish, followed by Conrad Lobb in 8th, Jack Welde in 13th, Logan Bredenberg in 14th, Luke Schroeder in 16th, Matthew Tuel in 20th and David Ronnevik finished 23rd. 

The JV won their meet with a team score of 23.

Tommy Erickson was 1st, Henry Greenagel in 2nd place, Alex Burrows in 3rd place, Michael Schmidt followed in 8th place, Jackson Lysne in 9th place, Micah Mouser in 14th place and Aaron Shern rounded out the team placing 16th place.

Junior High Boys had 2 top 20 finishers in the 2 mile race, Kadyn Zender finished 10th and Nolan Felstul finished 16th overall.
