The Perham defense set the tone early as Braylon Rach scored on a 16-yard interception return with 8:43 to go in the first quarter.  Hackel added his first PAT kick to give the Yellowjackets a 7-0 lead.  Park Rapids Area fumbled the ensuing kick-off and less than a minute after the first TD Hackel scored on a 37 yard run and then added another PAT kick, giving Perham a 14-0 advantage.

Hackel’s 3 yard TD run and two-point conversion run in the second quarter put Perham up 22-0 at the half.

Just 37 seconds into the third quarter Josh Peterson hauled in a 60 yard aerial from Hackel and the extra-point kick failed, making the score 28-0, Perham.  Park Rapids Area scored their only touchdown with 46 second to play in the game on a 17-yard pass from Noah Morris to Logan Jackson.

Perham had 87 rushing yards and 89 passing yards for 176 yards of total offense.  Park Rapids Area had 200 yards (31 rushing, 169 passing).  Hackel led the Yellowjackets with 52 rushing yards on 6 attempts and completed 4-of-10 passes.  Peterson hauled in 3 of the four completions for 88 yards.  Park Rapids Area was led by quarterback Noah Morris who completed 14-of-4=31 passes for 169 yards.  Nick Michaelson caught 7 passes for 92 yards and Jackson had 6 catches for 72 yards.

Brian Ramos led Perham with 10 tackles (6 solo tackles, 4 assisted tackles).  Karter Kosowski, Rian Solberg and Carter Seedorf each recorded a sack.  Chas Melvin, Aiden Kennedy and Rach had interceptions, while Kosowski and Jaxon Vetsch each recovered a fumble.  Levi Richter had a forced fumble.
