Losing ten seniors off their roster will present a challenge to the Fergus Falls volleyball team as they will be relatively inexperienced at the varsity level.  Sabrina Noon begins her second year at the helm and will be assisted by Dan Zierden, Miranda Steer, Laura Gaustad, Sheri Smith and Brooke Johnson.

Laci Strom and Alaina Anderson will be playing at M State this year and the Otters also lost key players Hannah Prody, Katie Strommen, Logan Strom and Paige Pearson to graduation.

“Last year was a hard year,” acknowledged Coach Noon.  “Fighting with COVID and keeping our team together.  We have a very inexperienced team at the varsity level, but they have a very strong work ethic and are ready to learn.  They have great attitudes and are great teammates to each other.  Our speed on the court will need to pick up, and following the pace of the game will be learning as we go.”

Senior outside hitter Tori Ratz is the only returning starter.  Noon is expecting senior middle hitter Lizzy Moxness and juniors Jenna Carlson (outside hitter) and Ariana Noplos (middle hitter) to step into starting roles.

Noon sees Willmar as the favorite in the Central Lakes Conference and DGF as the team to beat in Section 8AA.
